# Logo & Alignment Improvements

## Changes Made

### 1. **New Logo Design** ✨
- **File**: `src/main/resources/static/images/site/logo.svg`
- **Format**: SVG (scalable, lightweight, modern)
- **Design Elements**:
  - Wedding mandap (arch) - represents wedding celebrations
  - Golden heart - symbolizes emotions and love
  - Measurement scale - represents metrics/precision and data
  - Elegant geometric composition blending tradition with modernity

### 2. **Template Updates**
- **Header** (`fragments/header.html`):
  - Changed logo source from `logo.png` to `logo.svg`
  - Added `logo-img` class for better CSS targeting

- **Footer** (`fragments/footer.html`):
  - Changed logo source from `logo.png` to `logo.svg`
  - Added `logo-img` class for consistent styling

### 3. **CSS Improvements** (`style.css`)

#### Header Logo (`.brand img`, `.brand .logo-img`):
- **Size**: Increased from 42px to 48px for better visibility
- **Gap**: Increased from 12px to 14px for better spacing
- **Object-fit**: Changed from `cover` to `contain` to show full logo
- **Removed**: `border-radius: 50%` (circular crop no longer needed)
- **Added**: `flex-shrink: 0` to prevent logo squishing
- **Added**: Hover effect with opacity transition

#### Footer Logo (`.footer-brand img`, `.footer-brand .logo-img`):
- **Size**: Increased from 40px to 44px
- **Gap**: Increased from 12px to 14px
- **Object-fit**: Changed from `cover` to `contain`
- **Added**: `flex-shrink: 0` for consistent sizing
- **Removed**: Circular styling

### 4. **Alignment Fixes**
- ✅ Proper vertical alignment with text using `align-items: center`
- ✅ Consistent spacing using `gap` property
- ✅ Prevented logo distortion with `object-fit: contain`
- ✅ Added `flex-shrink: 0` to maintain logo aspect ratio
- ✅ Better responsive behavior with updated sizing

## Benefits

2. **Better Performance**: SVG is much smaller than the old PNG (1.5KB vs 256KB)

3. The old PNG logo can be kept as backup or deleted
